DayZ crashing my internet whenever I launch it.

I have been having connection issues ever since I installed Arma II:CO Day Z and . It appears that whenever I launch the game, or refresh the server list, and sometimes even while I'm playing, my internet will disconnect for a minute or two. I can't load webpages, and I disconnect from Skype while talking to my friends (who I am playing the game with)

I read some posts on the Day Z forums by people who are having this same issue.

I've ruled out natural connection issues. Internet was working solid for the past few months right up until I installed DayZ/ArmaII:CO, and it seems to ONLY happen when I log onto the game. So, it's definitely Day Z/ArmaII:CO, or maybe even SixLauncher, causing this. I've tried disabling my AV and Firewall, no change. It did seem to happen less frequently after I disabled them, but I could be wrong about that.

Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

the issue is caused by the server list flooding your nat table. you may need to make some changes to your router or upgrade your internet (i.e. there may not be enough bandwith for the request to go out and come in at the sametime.)

one way to help is to have six launcher close once the game launches its a check box under options.

i have this issue too but it doesn't disconnect me I just can't load any webpages and I have a great connection I have like a 35mbps down and 2-5mbps up and the server list still does this I don't understand how to fix this.

then the issue is with your router or your modems nat or arp table. its not uncommon. a friend of mine has 100Mb down and 75Mb up and it happens if he has six launcher and arma II open at the same time.

So how would I go about fixing my nat etc?

check your router for a nat configuration and contact your ISP tier 1 supprot wont be able to help you so let them know that the issue you are having isnt a connection issue that is prosistant but it can be reproduced on request. they will need to monitor your modem when it happens and thay can tell if the modem is having the issue or if the router is.
