Chat channels

Can somebody explain the following doubts, I can't seem to find it on the search function.

What chat channel is to speak to someone nearby? I just approach him and press the chat button and it's on?

I think they turned it off recently while they work on it. If not it's the Caps Lock button.

u can use the direct chat change with , and use with =

[[email protected] 3]

I noticed some servers still working chat channels. Use "." and "," to change channels, the channel for people close by is Direct Channel, and like Gogster said, it's the Cap Lock key to speak.
