Can someone explain? I just joined a Japanese 100 player server and I go into the male/female selection. I was perfectly fine in cherno before this. :(

Make sure that the server runs the expansion "@hive, @beta and @DayZ" before joining a server.

Without "@hive" enabled, you will not play on your central character, instead on that servers private server.

It could be that it's not connected to the hive, or an exploiting player is in debug (the place where your character stands while logging in) shooting people. I was logging in once, mid-login I hear shooting then I see my name pop up as I have died, then it began loading and threw me on the beach. It happens.
