Hi! I recently joined the DayZ community and did a manual install with the creation of the folders and whatnot in the ARM2:OA folders.

I hit a problem when I noticed that I had version 1.60 and most (and by most i mean...nearly all) had version 1.62 or...1.62.9584 or something.

So I contacted a friend who linked me this:

So naturally I...did that. And now I don't really have any problems finding servers. But I noticed that I have to launch the game from the command string,and it doesnt make note on steam.

It works via the command desktop icon,but what exactly did this process do?

Run it with SixUpdater.
