smthistle 57 Posted July 24, 2012 but nothing definitely happens here about anything. what ur talking about is GLOBAL BAN's not dayz dev team bans. everyone complains whines posts evidence here whatever it is but nothing actually get done here! nothing. all they do is sit and watch and let battleye update and hopefully banwave ppl, but thats not the thing its just a hopefull thing "if they got banned" sort of move. like oh here a some sort of banwave hit but good luck if the hacker ur talking about got caught in that wave. he probably is just still hacking fyi. Psyl3nt 125 Posted July 24, 2012 Same with the "Admin abuse" - I've actually never seen a server blacklisted even though there are threads that offer total proof (Screenshots / Fraps videos). Which is why I think that all that kind of thing : Hacking / Admin abuse, is on the rise and certainly going to get worse before it gets better.As dev's there probably isn't that much time to spend on going through all the posts and selecting which ones are "real" and which ones are just butthurt people having a cry. I would imagine it's a massive job and a very slow process, but, there is always a but, something needs to be done otherwise it will just run away and will reach a situation where if you follow up on all the ones that have been "let go" it will end up taking down the majority of servers and players. No video proof=unlikely to be banned.Also, DayZ staff can only do database bans which require manual processing and proof as mentioned above. Cheaters are banned everyday from Battleye, so please dont come around saying nothing is happening. It is impossible to catch every single cheater, i could explain to you why, but with the statement i quoted from you, it would do no good as you do not understand the technicalities. The script writers seem to be winning the arms race hands down. And given that, as many have pointed out, these are really hacks associated with Arma II, not particularly DayZ, one wonders if anything really can be done.
