MisterJ (DayZ) 0 Posted July 24, 2012 I'm a Rooster Teeth Community Member and I'm very green when it comes to this game. So i'm looking for other RTC members to join up with (veteran or green like me) to make the gaming experience more enjoyable. Add me as a friend on this website, send me a message here, send a message on the RT site: JtheDeadPoet, or contact me via STEAM: jceagle45.
Caviano 287 Posted July 24, 2012 Why wouldn't you just post this on the RT site? Isn't that an easier way to filter out non-RT folk?Just a bit confused. Anyway, carry on.

I'm also trying to broaden the search a bit. I'm part of the STEAM community and the group on RT. Just covering all the bases.
xcelsior 53 Posted July 24, 2012 Plenty of RT members around, good many on the RT servers clearly are RT members. Least with [RvB] tags I would hope they are RT members! :)One myself (if it wasn't obvious), mainly play on the RT servers too as the ping is good, timezone is nice, normally space, etc.
premiumkrap 41 Posted July 24, 2012 does this server have its own TS3 or anything of that sort?

I wasn't aware players had been adding the tags. I've only played a few times on a roommate's computer and profile. I'm buying the game this payday, so I've not even created an Arma profile yet. It may be strange that I'm on here before I'm actually in the game officially but i like to be prepared. Edited July 24, 2012 by MisterJ
xcelsior 53 Posted July 24, 2012 does this server have its own TS3 or anything of that sort?Officially, no. The RT servers (US 124-127) are only a very small branch of what they do so it's really not surprising they have no official VOIP server.A user (Nexagelion1) did post about opening a small TS3 server he had to the RT community, I don't know the details and wouldn't post them without his permission anyways.May be able to contact him via the website if you wish to join that though. :)On that note though, if there were to be enough players regularly visiting the RT servers who wished to have a VOIP Server, I am more than willing to open my Mumble Server up to anyone. Only 10-slot for now, but why pay for more than I need atm? If that got popular enough I would upgrade as needed.Ah, you see... I wasn't aware players had been adding the tags. The last time i played, there was still a text xhat on the left side. I heard that they got rid of that. Is that right? Or were they just smoking crack that day? If so, what is the best way to communicate. I'm usually a console gamer, so this is foreign territory and I'm trying to find out the best way to make a good go at this game. UntouchableW 0 Posted July 24, 2012 I'm kind of new to the game too, but yes they did dumb down the chat quite a bit I believe. I think there is still global chat, but most people use direct messages now which are only broadcast for about 100 yards/meters so you only get local chat.I've tried chatting on it a few times but wasn't sure where I even was, though I heard gunshots so they should have been within range.
