Since the recent scrapping of humanity, and the recent addition of different variants of clothing I'm curious to see if anyone has actually found a set of clothing different to the default survivor skin.

When you find clothes do you lose them like everything else when you die?

I'm not sure, but you'd probably keep them, assuming the clothing doesn't stay in your inventory and changes your player skin permanently until you find another one.

scrapped humanity... so does that mean its a complete free for all now or is it simply the number value is no longer shown?

As of right now Ambient, the number value is no longer there. I have heard reports of people still turning to bandit/survivor. However, that will soon be changed so everyone is a survivor.

Doesn't this just mean most people will just shoot first ask questions later when they see another player?

And it'll probably stay that way. I just wanna have a sweet skin instead of this low-res default skin so when I can stalk Chernarus in style.

Well i mean it was kinda neat to ask players their "alignment" and intentions. And if it was all good then you can take a risk and approach them to trade or group up.

Now it seems like they want that part of the game gone, left only to be used by players playing together.

No, I think they're adding onto the game. Removing bandit skins will make it much more dangerous to tell who's friend or foe, adding onto gameplay. Now people wont go around shooting bandit skins on sight, and also put an end to pesky skin changes.

But we're getting off-topic.

On the contrary, trust and betrayal are now an even bigger part of the game.

Of course, with the 12 year old griefers hanging around Cherno at the moment, you're probably better off shooting anyone proclaiming to be friendly in that area anyway :).
