I have the exact same problem as you. Arma 2 runs at 30 to 50 fps and up depending on where i look but day z runs at 10 to 12 fps. I dont have a clue either and it is really annoying as day z runs on arma 2 lol.

I have the problem too.

My specs :

Amd Phenom x4 840 3.2GHz

Radeon Hd5770

4 GB ram

Windows 7 64-bit

My CPU and GPU are both at only 30-40% but in cities I get drops to 15 fps,no matter on what settings or resolution.

arma is very CPU-dependent, might be because of your processor

I had this problem. I pulled up task manager and Clicked "Show processes from all users". My problem was Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.... My computer should kick the crap out of this game. When this Pops up I lose all Frams. Hopes this helps.

DayZ will spawn a very large amount of entities (all of the loot, the zombies, etc) when compared to a normal ArmA play session. Especially in towns. This will add to the stress on your system.

And Does Ramdisk Maybe Fix this ?

Or is Dayz Just Unstable because of the lagg ?
