Bit of a newb here, howdo i connect to an ip in Arma?

EDIT - sorry, refreshed and someone asked.

You can try and find a server on this list: http://arma2.swec.se/server/list

1. Find an IP address by clicking on the server you want to join.

2. Copy the ip/port and then go in-game to the server browser and click "Remote"

3. copy the ip address and port in the appropriate fields and click connect!

4. Voila!

Just figured I would repost these instructions.. a little clearer than the op

Hmm... I put the server IP address and port number in the remote fields and click OK and nothing seems to occur.

ive tried this with 20 or more different ip and ports and nothing pops up :S

No clue, perhaps. Bit strange if it's just a fix for people in the US...

Try filtering servers so you only get those with the beta patch that you have installed..

ps. not American. Canadian.. ;)

This should work for every country/location, your probably just doing it wrong
