Using Hacked Weapons

Quick question. Could I be banned for finding and taking a Coyote Backpack from a hackers corpse, who obviously hacked it in? He was dead just laying there.

Could I be global banned for taking and using it? I mean who wouldn't take a Coyote when you find it as soon as you spawn down next to Balota?

Btw, yes I used the search button. Couldn't find anything about this.

You say you spawned in an it's just there on the ground... Then how do you know it's hacked in?

And yes - using hacked items/weapons is against the rules and will get you banned.

I can confirm that useing a hacked-in vehicle will get you banned.

Don't pick it up or use it, it can and most likely will cause issues with BattleEye.

Instead, leave it there and try to ask for help from that server's administration.

So the rumor going around that as long as you're the one that didn't hack it you can use it is untrue?

Bit of a grey area with some things no?

I mean jump in a heli yes, find dead body with loots bit hard to tell?

you'd only get banned if you yourself spawn it in va a hack, or if you take an item thats obviously hacked and not in the game

translates to me that if you cant be 100% sure that it was hacked in, take it

My reasoning that he was a hacker was because all he had was a ghillie, Coyote, and an axe in hand. He was laying next to another poor fellow who also had an axe. I thought you could only get Coyotes in the NW so I reasoned that nobody in their right mind would come from the NW with only a axe, ghillie, and a coyote down to Balota to die.

He was dead right next to the tents at Balota so he could have got that from the stands. Makes sense now. Wasn't a hacker... I guess.

If the intention to use it against other players in an un-fair advantage because you knew it was hacked, then a problem exist.

BattleEye isn't DayZ so it wouldn't be a great decision to use an item you know is obviously hacked.

Everything is all cleared up, wasn't hacked in. I explained in my post above.

I would have gotten banned by now if it was hacked anyways if what you guys are saying is true. Have had it for like 6 hours of gameplay so far. I guess I'm just a lucky sob for finding it xD

I wanted to ask this to a staff: So a guy traded me an M4 holo SD (it has holo, nade launcher, silencer, flashlight). Is this gun hacked or in the game? Should I drop it?
