No sound whatsoever

I have been playing DayZ without sound for quite a while, and I've tired a number of things:

1) Yes, I have restarted Arma 2 and have restarted my computer.

2) I have reinstalled DayZ multiple times, and have changed from Six Updater to DayZ Commander

3) Reinstalled Arma 2 and OA.

Please help me with this, I've searched for this issue but none of the fixes work for me, and half of DayZ is the sound.

I run Windows 7, and I have two headsets that I frequently switch between, if that helps at all. Sound doesn't work on either when playing.

I run the most up to date Arma 2 and DayZ versions, and play on servers that run the most up to date versions.

I have this exact same problem, the game runs fine, just as it did before. Ive been playing for well over a month, and about two days ago I lost sound. I can still play on servers and singleplayer, but with no sound. Ive also checked the system sound settings, and arma is turned all the way up. This is on arma 2, arma:oa, and for some reason, I can no longer launch Combined Ops from Steam. It says that the application is already running, although I get the same message even after restarting my computer, and no instance of it is appearing in task manager. Also, my drivers are all up to date.

Can anyone help? I still havent found a fix for this.

the only thing i can think of is that you logged out when in shock/knocked out to prevent dying. If you can log into a private hive and not get this, it's linked to your character, and the only way to fix this is by dying.
