Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I need your help.

As I solved my problem with FPS drops I got a new problem.

Every single time I'm joining a server and this messages(picture) appears I'll get a ping like over 1000. It's unplayable.

When just the first message (initialized) appears I'll have a normal ping and I can play.

But when all these 3 messages appears the ping goes high.

I hope you can help me. I also asked de BE support. Now I'm waiting for a answer.

BE will probably not answer your question as they usually do not handle these types of support issues. Posting your network setup would help. What's your router model, what's your modem model, who's your service provider, what is your plan/data rates, what type of service do you have (DSL, Cable/Broadband) and are you wireless or wired?

BE answered.. but they think it is my internet connecten. But I always join to low ping server and I dont have other problems with my connection.

My service provider ist kabel+ (austria) and its cabel and I'm wired.

Router-Modell WZR-HP-AG300H and no plan what my plan/data rates are.

I dont think its my Internet connection. The ping is getting higher after this messages...

You are talking about high ping...where do you read your ping?

Added:

The pic attached shows that you got a slot at the server....server is waiting for you to push ok and get files....

try this, it may be ArmA but usually ping is completely network-side. tell me what your result is, you can just link the image it generates.

Push "m" -> Players --> There are 3 Lines with Ping Bandwith and Sync Ping beforce messages 25 -40 (like normal) after messages 300-10000, Bandwith normal 200-400 after messages ~1000

and the red or yellow chain appears.

Try connect direct to Internet....without router....any difference?

This is not an acceptable solution, for diagnosing it is okay. Your router acts essentially as a firewal, operating a network without one is not good practice and leaves you completely vulnerable without a software firewall.

I would suggest looking at your coaxle cable layout that goes to your router and tally up the total splits, each split should be marked on the cable splitter.

an acceptable frequency for a modem is usually between -12 db and + 12db. keep in mind that splitters are marked in negative numbers so that 7 or 3.5 you see is a negative and signal levels decrease.

So I reinstalled everthing. It installed the version 1.164 and updatet to 1.165. While this updating and restarting my ping was very good. After restarting these two messages appeared and then my ping was horribly again.

So I dont think its a problem like this. It wouldn't work for a short time(with other BE software) and start to lag when these messages appears.

I could play for a minute, as long as BE needed to date up. So its very unlogical if that is a problem with my wire.

Maybe my router oder ati virus blocks the new BE??

try a non-BE server, set a filter, it doesn't necessarily need to be DayZ just ArmA 2. As a second though perhaps someone setup QOS on your router and has gaming set to very low priority, do other games do the same thing?

Nope, other Games or programms don't have problems with the connection.

Okay I'll try non DayZ server and non BE server.

Non BE Servers: No problem. Just the most are privat...

If it's BE I have no idea. Keep in contact with BE maybe it's a problem with the new update.

I discussed with a friend. He says it sets a GUID to check my session. And as the GUID is set the highpings start. I also reported that to the BE support.
