camouflage nets ?

Recommended Posts

I am poundering what the community says. I am thinking of covering tents and/or cars. I think of structures compareable to the nets in the first-aid camp near Balota Airfield (the ones which cover the generators).

My thoughts:

- takes 3 units in your gear

- need to be combind (e.g. cover a bus will take 5 nets)

- need to be combined with scrap metal (to keep the structure up, 5 nets need 5 scrap metal to combine)

This could be a possible first step for base building but in a simple way, but need a lot of "hauling".

As I haven't played Arma2 too much I do not know if theses nets are static or real objects you can use.

What do you guys think?

make it require 2 ghille suits to make, and will cover tents. something simple but hard to come by.

dont like nor understand the need of scrap metal, otherwise not bad!

I just though about the need of a support structure made out of metal. if you combine more nets you may need thsi. Screap metal was my chiocie as it is implemented into the game and I assumed that it is therfore easy to use for this as well. Secodn thing is it would make hauling for the stuff more challenging :)

There is a cammo net made for vehicles and several others also. I've built many arma2 missions. Load arma2 with no mods and go single player into the editor to see what all is there. Those who have not played arma2, or made custom missions, will be amazed at the amount of equipment dayz is not utilizing.

That would work as well :)

2 ghille = 1 net

1 net to cover a tent (propperly)

2 for a car

5 for a bus

plus scrap metal for support the whole structure....

Good idea, but I don't think that you would need scrap metal. Maybe you'd be able to make poles with wood.

I think everything would do the trick. Basicly the idea is to have the oppertunity to cover things propperly with an amount of work to spend (no easy button). I would think the ghilles are difficult (and valuable) enough to spend, but the balancing is dev-work. I would just like to see this in game ... :)

Just implement a camo netting. You would need allot of ghillie suits to cover up a car and part of the area around it.
