Voice chat not working

In several servers i tried speaking with my headset over direct communication but no one seems to hear me i tested it with a friend of mine i could hear him over direct but he can't hear me

before anyone asks my headset is not broken because with teamspeak it works but only ingame voice chat doesn't seem to work what is pretty shitty cause you have to communicate with other players (not in my group i mean) via chat which takes too long in most situations

after google-ing i heard it's a bug in arma 2 itself but i found no solution

would be great if anyone could help me with this

Make sure you have your mic selected in the windows audio options, cause I'm pretty sure that ARMA2 uses the mic you've selected in windows are your input device.
