Horrible Massive Lag Spikes

So i just recently bought the game and im having some serious lag issues with the game. I don't know if its my computer , my internet service, or the server itself. Im pretty sure my computer is good enough to run it as it has a i7 processor, 8 gigs of RAM, and some other top of the line equipment i cant name off my head. Its kinda embarassing for me to think that a decently good computer like mine has to run everything on low as it can go. Even at a server ping of 62, graphics, shadowing, etc. at 'very low' , every half minute i lag and freeze for 7-10 seconds. Is this a result of my computer, the server, the internet connection, my graphic card? Also ive seen videos of where people 'desync' out of cars and copters where they kinda lag out and freeze in a spot which looks like my problems. Could this also be a factor? However, while almost every US server ive tried, ive experienced horrible lag spikes there is one server 'seattle 28' that seems to have provided me a server where i dont have spikes, or maybe havent had them yet. Should i get a new graphic card? or should i just hop on every server and test it if i lag? Because im sure i should have the capacity to the game ):

Well you need to post your specific equipment for use to help you out. And to be honest if you don't know what graphics card you have off the top of your head it might be time to upgrade and its probably the issue.

Have you tried update your graphic drivers, maybe that's the problem? Can u also please post what setting u use on the game when its lagging?

oh yea i havent thought of that, ive been getting error messages to update them when i play bf3 too xD could you kindly direct me to a place where i can do that?

Well you need to post your specific equipment for use to help you out. And to be honest if you don't know what graphics card you have off the top of your head it might be time to upgrade and its probably the issue.

Well for sure i surpass the requirement specs and even hit above the recommended specs, heres a full list of my specs, i have my video drives all updated, most of the settings ingame are low - very low and yet i still lag, anyone know why?

Are the drivers up-to-date (someone has else already asked)?

Is this issue on all servers or do you experience this on specific servers? A bad server can cause your game to freeze, I have played on a server which caused my game to momentarily freeze every 4-5 seconds.

The PC is more than capable of running the game, but it could be a problem with something running in the background (sixlauncher needs to be closed when you pick a server, because it automatically refreshes the server list in the background. I recommend switching to "DayZ Commander") or you have viruses or malware. If you do not perform regulary (monthly or more frequent) maintenance on your PC I strongly recommend it and can give a list of free programs to use.

Yup just updated my nvid drives to 3.01 today, and i scan with anti virus and norton every 3 weeks. As far as i known ive lagged on most of the servers and only found a couple of servers that are 'good' where i dont freeze every 10 seconds, but even then they ' just happened to crash or start lagging' However i do theorize that since i lag only every 30 seconds it might be because i leave the launcher open and it refreshes which makes me lag. Just a theory, Will test after searching for more possiblities

Have look on how the cores behave when your lag occurs.

I had the load spike jump from core to core when the game froze for a few seconds.

Still cannot explain the "why" but format c: and setting up all from anew solved micro lags.

Well i confirmed its not the six updater, as even with it being closed out, ingame i still lag though this tactic does provide me a few extra seconds in my normal lag intervals

If the freezing/lag is intermittent it could be a problem with your CPU or GPU overheating. Remove all dust and fluff from your PC and remove any overclocking that you have set, then try again.
