Automatic whitelisting -- Does this mean if I purchase a server from Vilayer who claims all their servers are whitelisted... does this mean I still need to send information to support.dayz? Or does it mean that once I purchase the server, it will be available on the server list with my chosen RCON password, and things like that.

I'm purchasing a NY based server from Vilayer today. After I pay them and the transaction is complete, will my server be up on the hive list? What server tools would I have to download if any? As long as I have video proof, and I have proof from scripts in the logs, I am going to ban an excessive hacker. Blacklist be damned. Combat dc'ers and the like, your time will come soon. But basically, even though there's a ton of stickies, I still haven't really figured the ins and outs. Vilayer doesn't tell me there game servers specifications so I can't tell dayz support what kind of specs they are running, which I would guess is why they are automatically white listed since they fit the parameters?

Basically, once I click purchase from Vilayer for my 40 slot NY server...where do I go from there? Will the server be up and running and able to be played by my guys and the community alike. Are the server tools added into the purchase so that I can monitor logs to try and catch potential scripters? I know I'm going to be flamed for this, but I haven't hosted a server in like 11 years. It's been an extremely long time. So I'm hoping anyone can help me here. How long is the wait for a server from Vilayer. I'm going to be ordering within the next couple of hours. Will it be a couple to a few hour wait for it to be on the server lists? What program will I use to restart the servers? Vilayer servers come with an automatic time signature, and I'm most likely going to be changing the server from GMT -5 / UTC + 8 or something like that.

Question though. Is restarting the server every 12 hours enough? Obviously if there is a massive hack attack, I would probably do an unannounced(I mean, I would give about a 5 minute countdown) to restart the server.

One last question. I do not want to host one of those servers where it's day-light all the time. I would like to plan my server restart about half way through the night-time period of the server, so you have a long day cycle and a short night cycle. This way it appeases both types of gamers. Guys please don't be too harsh on me. Like I said, the last time I ran a server it was through NFO for Call of Duty back in 2003(Making me feel old). Is this possible? I mean, I'm pretty much going to be running this myself with some donations here and there but I'm pretty much in the dark.

for vilayer, you dont have to do anything, but i take like 2days because of the amount of day Z servers they are setting up. Their support is very helpfull tho.

I usually restart whenever i'm fancy to do so. I have scheduled restart and no problem so far but i'm not always logged in.
