Question about transfusion...does it take away your blood?

So yeah, sorry for the dumb question, but does it take away your blood to give a transfusion to another player? My buddy and I are both at low health and we need to know if getting blood bags will enable us to restore eachother to full.

Nope, you simply scroll your mouse over your friend and choose Blood Transfusion, this will restore his blood back to 12000 and you do not lose a drop.

If it is too hard to get blood bags, you and your buddy could also go hunting as cooked meat restores blood. Try and find a cow as they give you the most blood restored.

You'll need a hunting knife to gut them to get the meat, a hatchet to cut a tree for some wood and matches to light your fire, once you've done that you'll be good. Also try and make your fire away from cities and towns.

You'll probably be better off trying to loot a hospital on an empty server then.

The hunting knife, hatchet and matches are all pretty easy to obtain. You can happen onto the knife and hatchet pretty much everywhere but the matches mainly spawn inside supermarkets and on occasion also in regular house but this is pretty rare.

Next bit is killing an animal, they are pretty plenty out in the field and forests since the last two patches. Gut it, chop some firewood while standing in a large stretch of forest.( wont work otherwise)

Right click the matches to create a fireplace, then face said fireplace and scroll middle mouse to light fire and done. Now the cook meat option comes up and there you go.

800 blood recovered with every cooked meat eaten! If you are hunting for items make sure your health does not drop below 9000 blood, below that every zombie hit, especially the ones from behind have a large chance to knock you out for a bit.
