Benlandia 73 Posted July 23, 2012 I've seen several topics discussing how DayZ now makes vanilla Arma unplayable without doing some work. With the old patch I had to do my research and get it fixed, but now it seems that the old fix of replacing the Battleye.dll files no longer works.Does anyone have a fix for this? humbleuk 76 Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) removing the @dayz from startup parameter and @dayz in the expansion menu fixed it for me. Edited July 23, 2012 by MessHall
Benlandia 73 Posted July 23, 2012 I have tried every combination under the sky. Does anyone know how to revert to a factory re-install of Arma 2 using steam? If I delete and re-download it still comes with DayZ.A better question would be how do I uninstall DayZ?
bullet purveyor 1 Posted July 23, 2012 How did you install DayZ, did you use sixupdater or manual install? If dayZ still run after you reinstalled the game, you haven't deleted the arma folder properly.
Benlandia 73 Posted July 23, 2012 For some reason when you tell steam to delete local content, then redownload the game, it returns it back to its original state with DayZ still installed. I've taken the liberty of deleting all files within the folder, and asking steam to verify the integrity to re-download all default files. Will post later if it is a fix. Also - please address this issue Devs. Your mod should not break the original product.
