Graphics issues! Please help...

Recommended Posts

I am having issues running the Day Z mod smoothly. I can run almost any game I play on the highest graphic settings. I play WoW, Starcraft II, League of Legends, and more all on the highest graphic setting and it runs smooth as dairy(it sounded right at the moment). I have fiddled with the graphic setting numerous times, and even on Low and a much reduced resolution I am still getting lag. What should I do? Is there something I am doing wrong? Please help, thank you.

Um...those games graphic needs in comparison to Arma 2 are nothing. You will kill your pc if you try playing on ultra everything on this game without a $2500+ gaming PC. I have a GTX 680 and can play on highest, but will not because it puts a horrible load on your GPU.

DO research on your specs and needed specs before doing this, or youll need a new pc real soon.

I have a Dell XPS 17 L702X. Processor is Intel® Core i7-2630QMQM CPU @ 2.00GHz. RAM is 8 GB. System type: 64-bit Operating System. I believe my graphics card is the Nvidia GeForce GT 550. It's a laptop.

It might just be the server. I can run Ultra in WoW but I tend to run Normal in DayZ even if the ping is very low just in case. Try checking your ping regularly by pressing J assuming you haven't changed the default settings. Then scroll down to your player. It should show the ping and maybe explain your problem.

The processor is your problem. Im not sure why you would expect arma 2 to run well on a 2.00ghz.

Is there a way to upgrade a processor on a laptop?

Also, DayZ just doesn't run as smooth as the normal game. I can get 90+ in Arma but only 20-30 in Dayz.
