Weird FPS Lag

So recently ive been having some FPS lag that has pretty much made the game impossable to play.

I haven't changed any of my setttings so thats not anything to do with it.

I used to get the problem but i could just leave a server and reload the game and the problem would go away.

I never have any extra proccesses running and ive tried turning all my video settings down along with doing a system restore to a earlier date when it worked.

If anyone has any idea thanks<3

The game is pretty CPU intensive and optimises in a strange way.

In arma 2, when you have the setting to at normal or below, it uses your CPU, if it's high or higher, it render from your graphics card (GPU)

Make sure you remove post processing, antiailising and all that too.

I've had this a couple of times the last few days, log in, the text that pops along screen takes forever and I can barely move, did what you said relogged and seemed to fix the problem, so would be nice to get an idea of what the problem maybe, think it might be server side.

But it used to work and i didn't change any of the settings and ive checked all them anyway so surely this can't be the problem?
