Running DayZ Locally?

Recommended Posts

Is there any way in which I can set up DayZ to run locally on my computer. I am aware that there will not be other players however I rarely have access to a decent internet connection and crave my zombie fix!

Thanks,

While it's not technically allowed yes there is and no im not going to tell you how to do it. But its easy if you have knowledge of how servers work.

Google "single player for dayz mod".

I have done and it appears that Rocket has asked for it to be removed from his site. I know a bit about servers but would become stuck without any sort of guide. All I want to do is kill zombies on my lonesome!

Seems a shame it's not allowed (Wasn't aware of that) after all if it's not linked to the Hive there is no harm I would have thought.

I suppose if it's published to the public server list it will confuse people who don't know the difference between Hive and non Hive and removes players from the main pool needed to test the alpha.

Hopefully once it's release there will be support for "Private" Lan servers.

Would be a shame to shackle such a brilliant mod by not allowing people to have local games they can mess about with :)
