what to do with zombies following?

hey guys, my question is like ahead what to do with zombies following me (without any weapon)?

i ask this cause i had much frustrating times since i bought the game and installed the mod.

everytime when i have no weapon and the zombies are following me, i´m running about 10 minutes and they are faster and don´t stop follow.

is that the point of it? that the zombies will never stop following you till you die? most times it´s better to stand still and get died instead of running half an hour and die anyway.. but maybe theres a trick for zombie followers?

Apparently you can run around trees and shit and they lose line of sight and gtfo

Side note: Make Zombies run 75% of the speed of the player

run into a building with 2 exits... as soon as they enter they start walking slow. wait for them to all gather then jet out the opposite exit. once u get distance between u and the building, hide out prone out of view till u know they aren't following anymore.
