dylan.jlr@gmail.com 0 Posted July 22, 2012 Hello everyone!I have a pretty crappy PC but this is still quite odd. I have a Zotac GT520 Video Card (1gb synergy edition low profile v-card) and when I monitor my in game FPS/Temperature/GPU Usage with EVGA Precision X (It knows it's a GT520) whenever I'm in game, EVGA Precision shows it's only using 20% of the VRAM. Yes I generally have low FPS so I'm guessing that this must be the problem...
xXCoNuNdRuMXx 7 Posted July 22, 2012 I heard someone once say that any setting on low will actually use your CPU as opposed to your GPU. I don't actually know if this is true. What graphic settings are you using?
thomasgilling@hotmail.com 5 Posted July 22, 2012 (edited) It'd go up the higher you set the texture quality, but as the GT520 is an entry level GFX the extra RAM is only a marketing gimmick (I'm afraid). You could try increasing the textures and see how it effects performance.Conundrum, you're right. Setting it to "low" puts the stress on the CPU instead of the GFX card.
