Why not? A can of Mtn Dew that does nothing more than Pepsi or Coke is in the game just for the rarity of it. So why not golden weapons for the same thing? So long as said weapons had no benefit over the regular ones I don't see why not.

ok you can have a golden gun. but you will have a giant sign about your head that says "I`m retard. Put me out of my misery". of course it will be removed later, when engine will allow it to shine bright under the sun.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but DayZ seems to be somewhat realistic, and I'm pretty sure no countries (especially Russia) would make weapons out of gold - A reflective, heavy, and soft metal totally pointless other than for looking pretty and for it's corrosion resistance, which is not nearly enough to justify its use in weaponry.

Only people like Snoop Dogg, Gadaffi n shit has a "golden" night hawk, which isn't really made out of gold.

So, just piss off back to CoD.

Some examples, just to make it clear:

1g of gold ~ $50

AK47 = 4300g

$50 * 4300 = $215 000

Revolver .45 = 1142,5g

$50 * 1142,5g = $57 125

I want OP to re-think, and then go to bed.

Whats up with the COD comments? Ever since MW2 came out people are crtizing everything such as COD kid. I have seen tons of games with Golden weapons. Now shut the fuck up with the COD kid comments jesus. Yes I played COD from COD3 to BlackOps.

I'd like this idea just becuase it reminds me of the guy from Resident Evil that has the Golden Desert Eagle.

And instead of giving a 5 word post on why it's stupid or retarded, at least say why it's stupid or retarded.

Its okay OP, they never heard of the war in Afghanistan where we commonly find gold AKs, nor dothey realize that GOLD PAINT exists, and only adds several ounces to the weight.
