How to upgrade to 1.7.2.3, without respawn?

Hello. There was a problem with updating mod to 1.7.2.3 version. The situation:

I play on 1.7.1.5, and i have all sorts of goodies. Updating version of game ​​and mod and I'm starting on the coast. BUT! If rollback version to 1.7.1.5, then I appear in the same place where i went last time with all my stuff.

Actually the question .... how can I ever upgrade to the latest version of the mod without loss of equipment?

Its alpha you might lose your items its not that hard to get geared out in an hour or so just bite the bullet and get going.
