Playing vanilla servers

Just a heads up for everyone out there (correct me if this isn't the proper way of doing so) playing DayZ on the Steam version of CO;

I tried to join a couple of standard servers and it didn't like the DayZ files coming up. You have to remove the '-mod=@dayz' from launch options to be able to play, it seems. Is there actually any alternative to this? If not, hopefulyl this helps some people.

EDIT: After some testing it appears that not all servers will forbid you from joining when the DayZ launch parameters are in place. However, for those servers that won't allow you to join, the above is still the solution.

A good secure public server should have verify sigs on, addons and mods can cause server stability issues for MP, you were right in removing you @folder - http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Addon_Signatures
