Screen minimizes while joining server.

Just downloaded Arma II and Arma II OA and installed SixLauncher. Everything seemed fine, and the game worked earlier when my brother was giving it a go. He went to change some resolution issues in the video options, and when he did the game slowed down immensely. We had to ctrl+alt+del because the game slowed down so much, and closed it. After that, the issue started. Every time we tried joining a server, we would get as far as the screen where you can join the game (everyone's name is on the right) but before anyone's name can show up, the screen minimizes and won't open again. Can't press anything else on the screen either, had to ctrl+alt+del to close it. I tried switching back to the previous beta patch because some servers were giving us the "bad version server rejected connection " problem, and I hoped it would help. But no matter whether its the most recent update or the previous beta, it keeps minimizing and not letting us get past the screen to join the actual game.

Uninstalled and re installed everything, restarted the comp, followed some other tips, nothing is working. If anyone knows what I can do to fix this, please let me know. If you need more info, feel free to ask.

Update: The 3D resolution was put way too high and I think that's what's causing the forced minimizing. Is there any way to change DayZ graphic settings back to default? I've uninstalled both the mod and ArmA 2. Any help would be really appreciated.
