Battleye failed to update and centuries on loading screen.

I just installed ARMA and teh DayZ mod. I tried to join a server with a friend and it kicked me out because of a failed to update error from Battleye. We tried like 3 or 4 different servers before i passed the waiting for character to create screen and into the loading screen where it now has been for like over 10 or more minutes.

I updated Battleye for both Arma and Arma OA from steam and manually installed BE from their website but im not sure why it worked since it kept giving me errors before.

I was wondering if anybody knew the cause of this error/loading problem?

Im absolutely new to this game so i have no idea whats going on.

I bought the game last night and I am having the same problem as you. Im starting to get really pissed off but I knew it wasnt going to be easy joining a server. I also didnt know there was going to be so many errors and stupid shit that was going to come up. So hopefully someone comes and helps us both out :)

Follow the instructions and it should be happy.

Make sure your using the latest beta patch also.

My problem is exactly the same: very long waiting time, and "Battleye failed to update"-error. I have the newest beta and the newest Battleye.

i had the same thing, when you download battleeye get the bottom 2 not the top2, bottom is 1.165 top is 1.164

I'm trying to update Battleye manually. But everytime i click on one of the files on the link posted above, it tells me "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. What do I do? I have windows vista

Nevermind, i got the files to download. Put them in the right folder. The first game i tried to get into after that I got kicked lol before i even got into the game

I got into a server once, but after a few seconds it still kicked me because of Battleye.

Okay so this worked for me: I joined a server, but I waited at the screen where you see all the players in the server untill it said 'BattlEye succesfullly updated'. And now it works just fine
