After trying to solve the problem for a couple hours, I realized that the version that the game automatically updates through Steam (1.60xxx) does not match the version that other players are using (1.62xxx) on Six Launcher.

I went here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

I downloaded the latest beta patch (the one at the top in the green field) then installed it.

I'm not longer stuck at the loading screen and playing the game.

Oh, haha, I didn't see the green part, I just downloaded the topmost one in the gerey area XD
