Nononono that's Elektro. Cherno has a church at the far West end of the docks, not a TEC factory and office.

Yeah,it's Cherno. And as said above,if you disconnect and then reconnect,it tells your location at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Im not noob,dumbshit. If you look at the center of the town you can see the large buildings which only have in Cherno. The church is by the EAST side of the coast at Cherno,not west.

Cherno's docks are shaped different. Cherno has a little part that juts into the corner if you look at a map. Elecktro's curve's smoothly like in the picture.

Funny how insanely helpful people are around here ;). I was trying to go to the editor and post an aerial picture of both Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk, but since editor is bugged since 1.62 RC I'm just going to tell it's definately Elektrozavodsk beyond any doubt. Your grid coordinates would be 105-137. There is some good loot in the North-East of Elektro, check the bars, fire stations, office building and super market (but also a lot of players).

This one will do, it also has all the gear spawns etc.

Then learn to use contour lines and landmarks like you learned in school (hopefully they still teach this in school), to navigate around the map.

When you find a compass or map in game it will be much easier.

Zoom in on that map and you can see the buildings, landmarks etc.

also, is the whole map in Russian? Does everyone pronounce the towns and stuff just by the Russian language or does anyone use any English translations?

The English pronounciation is what people use (unless you're from Russia I suppose). You'll notice both Russian and English on the maps. In the game, sometimes you have to use streetsigns or the highway distance marking signs to figure out where you are. Those are all spelled in the native Cyrillic alphabet. That is where the map comes in handy, look at the Cyrillic and refer to map to see the alphabet you're familiar with. Some of the Russian names look pretty close but some would leave you scratching your head.
