Defcon Servers not running properly

Recommended Posts

We have rented a server with Defcon servers and are attempting to get it to run. I can see the server in the Arma II server list but it says "creating" under the status and when connecting, it stays stuck in a "Wait For Host" screen and never loads the lobby. The server also does not appear in Six Launcher.

Am I doing something wrong here or did I possibly forget a step? There are no great tutorials for how to get a server running. The only issue I feel like it could be is not having or applying for an instance ID. However, when applying for the instance ID it asks for information about that server that I don't have. Could this be the issue? And if so, what information should I apply with to get an instance ID?

Also here is my config file in if helps,

I just set up mine and it works fine. you might want to download dayzcommander and click on versions and see what the latest revision is then change your server to that revision.

My server from Defcon referred to a mission that wasn't in the missions folder.

Once I changed it to one that was, everything worked.

Their default server.cfg wasn't too good.

I have a duplicate US xxxx but have now way of seeing which I'm supposed to have, don't know my instance id, battleeye was turned off by default.

It's all sorted out now but it took a day.

I think they were as helpful as they could be.

IMO, they're new and figuring it out as they go.

This isn't the same as a vanilla arma II server.

Looks like a couple people managed to get live servers from them, bully for you guys. They just lied to me and stole my money. Same with my clanmate. I'm surprised, I had assumed they were going balls-deep into the scam-server market since they had failed to deliver to so many customers. Consider yourself very lucky, my advice cancel as soon as possible (7 days notice required or they'll charge you in full) and switch to a reliable provider. Which would be anyone but them.
