New server setup: No entry ".profilePathDefault".

Recommended Posts

I just got approved today and finished following the emailed setup instructions perfectly. Every time I try to run the server I get an error message stating: No entry '.profilePathDefault'. I have tried changing the -profiles= as well as messing with the directories under the Users directory. Any ideas what I am missing?

Narrowed it down: When I start the server with a batch file it works with no problems, however when I start the server using Firedaemon I get the error.

Anyone using firedaemon that has run into this issue?

I understand you want to launch it with FD, but I have been running mine with BEC and bat file. And since you said it runs fine with a bat file, it would make since to use it. If you need help installing BEC, I can assist you.

BEC is pretty much automated and has a nice scheduler.

Thanks for the offer, but I finally tracked it down. For future reference:

In Firedaemon the working directory needs to be the root, not the directory the server executable is in.

example:

Executeable: C:\YourArmaFolder\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe

Working Directory: C:\YourArmaFolder\

NOT

Executeable: C:\YourArmaFolder\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe

Working Directory: C:\YourArmaFolder\Expansion\beta\
