Skills make TeamWork

And So was thinking of maybe one patch people start off with a Max skill in one area (randomly given), then in the next patch every one starts off with no skills, so this relationship develops.

Here we go again!

I reported my own thread - didn't like the direction it was going. Best of luck to you Ukie, you are going to need it on these forums.

It's a good idea.. Having skills build up over time will make life more valuable than equipment. Currently the balance is way off.

Your suggestion for stealth is unbalanced.. It should be for your current character only so skills are reset on death. Also perhaps it should just decrease your visibility whilst crouching or crouch running.

I really like the rest of your suggestions though. +1

I just don't like these kind of ideas because it makes it harder for newer people to get into the game, and it kind of forces teamwork. Promoting teamwork by giving a mechanic that is helpful, sure. But making lone wolves have to be around people or risk being slower and louder and not able to heal themselves could be annoying for people who aren't in a group.

maybe not make it so only two skills but its just a slow progression, and people with more knowledge do add a bonus to grasping the skills yourself but by firing enough and hitting, running far enough improves your stamina until you have to stop and catch your breath, bandages others makes you bandage faster and so on. The skills can all be grasped by one person but it will take time and effort to master them and by that point the survivor or bandit would be a valuable asset to any team and also capable of surviving on his own easily.
