How to BAN trouble making individuals

Hello, as a server admin for a Multiplay Day Z server how do you add invdividuals to the ban list? For some reason, the bans do not take effect when I add names to the ban.txt list and I cannot ban individuals through the Arma II control panel. Any help would be appreciated to rid of some troublemakers on our server. Thank you!

I only ban people i know that are using hacks - Even then ive known them to come back via using some sort of GUID & IP spoof. Not to be racist or anything like that but 95% of the time its a russian IP :P

Everybody disconnects right now either as a defender or aggressor if there numbers up.Im sorry to say Its just human nature. I hear there working on a fix but don't hold your breath of it..

Just as an example it took Eve Online about 8years to correct the old logoffski mechanic

Are you not using ArmA2 RCon? If not you should download it as it is almost required to effectively run a server. You can add their IPs, or GUIDs, or both into the ban.txt and it will ban them though. I highly recommend you get ArmA2 RCon though, heres the link if you want to check it out. https://dev-heaven.net/projects/rcon/files

Since BattlEye server version 1.102 you can control your ArmA game server remotely (without having to be in-game) the BattlEye RCon tool.

• Download the BattlEye RCon tool (BERCon.exe).
  
• Create a file called beserver.cfg in BattlEye working directory on the server.
  
• Set your private RCon password in the beserver.cfg.
  
• Start the RCon tool on your computer.
  
• Connect to your server with its IP, port and RCon password.

I have a multiplay Dayz server too, and at the moment Rcon or BERcon do not work with multiplay servers. i have raised countless tickets regarding this issue as multiplays "maxping" thing is a complete myth and does not work.

they just say they are working on the connectivity issues so looks like its time for the waiting game :)

yeah i tried that as well the multiplay host has a file already called "BEServer" i think its supposed to have capital B E and S at least O.o

but just cant connect =(
