-NY7 & 8- Info and awesomeness thread.

Server Info:

NY7 & 8 are truly my babies at the moment. I attempt to babysit these myself all day around the clock (just not when I am asleep) and I do my best to make sure your experience in my servers with the DayZ mod will be constantly enjoyable. You will find me interacting in chat all the time and trying to interact with other players constantly. Within the coming weeks I intend on bringing up a VOIP service if i see a high enough demand for it along with possibly picking up one or 2 admins to help out.

Rules and Config:

Difficulty: Veteran

Player Slots: 50

3rd Person: Enabled

Cross-hairs: Enabled

Name-tags: Disabled

English is preferred, but I don't not mind a few other languages here and there just don't spam the chat with it. Don't use VON over all chat, i am very strict on this seeing as it ruins immersion for everyone. Above all please be civilized when in my servers.

It's been pretty great being able to stick with these servers from their inception and watch how little societies develop. Seeing clans form and clash on NY8 really made me realize how this kind of multiplayer sandbox format has so much potential for emergent gameplay.

nethack+left4dead+eveonline+whatever - DayZ scratches so many itches.

Honestly these 2 servers are the best managed servers I've played on in all of the DayZ servers. Top performance and restarts are always done when needed.

Fains Servers have been fantastic. [LF] has made NY8 our home and we are enjoying every moment.

From what someone told me NYC 7 is reversed time and NYC 8 is Exact EST time.

NY7 & 8 are both synced up with EST, i dont pull any crazy shenanigans like messing with server time... and i like the night lol. Thanks again for all the praise about the server, it really does mean a lot to me.

Double Post yea yea. Just a heads up to anyone who will actually check this i will be travelling a lot till saturday but I will continue to provide the best support i can through laptop phone and wifi!

I would love to if I saw enough of a demand for it. Tell you what, I will try it out this weekend and bring one up to see if anyone joins. If its active for over a week ill get a more permanent one. Btw everyone i come home tomorrow(saturday) so things will be back to normal.

Does NYC7 have automatic restarts? If yes, is there a warning message for the players telling them the server is about to restart?

So this looks like a fine server to switch to.

Just it seems like ny7 & 8 are having some trouble atm.

It seems all servers are having trouble/dysinc because of the centralized system.

I would love to join your server with my party.

Quick couple of questions tough.

Do you have vehicles, if so do you hog them all ?

One of the reasons we are leaving NY25.

When will you be upgrading to 1.7 ?

Faindizzle doesn't hog the vehicles, but we do. Then we blow them up!
