Quick Question

So im new to dayz been playing it for a few dayz and i just connected today and spawned in some strange forest with half my gear, the question is where am i and can i get the rest of my gear back?

There's literally no way to escape. You need to click esc>respawn to get back into the boundaries of the map. And whatever you do, do NOT kill other players in the debug plains or you'll risk getting globally banned.

Unfortunatly, if you ARE in the debug plains (you said forrest so I assume you're not) you need to respawn yourself.

Otherwise, being in a forrest with half your gear means you are S.O.L

you can either kill yourself and start over. Or run in a random direction and hope you find something familiar. Your gear cannot be resotred, and what you have is what you have. Shit happens, welcome to Alpha.

i'm pretty sure it's a forest sense there are trees =[ there goes my saw and m4a1 sd, oh well and one last question what does S.O.L. stand for

So i started running around followed the clouds i suppose and it turns out i spawned in to the left of skalka, top left of the map http://dayzdb.com/map#5.013.023 ,no idea why =p made it to the NW airfield and didn't die just have nothing with any use now xD
