How do you play Day Z with the Arma 2 92767 patch on a NON-STEAM version of the game?

No matter how much I search, all I can find is information that only seems to apply for the Steam versions. [1] http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30784135

The file the guy mentions here (_runA2CO_beta.cmd) does not exist on my computer, and all instructions I can find relate to that file.

edit: Never mind, managed to sort it out now. The guide in this forum explains how, but it did have an outdated link.
