I'm that bandit. The one you see a new 10+ posts every day complaining about. The one that spawns, grabs a lee enfield and runs around electro shooting everybody in sight. I shoot players with guns, without guns, with hatchets, doesn't matter, I see you, I shoot you. I stalk players through the streets and into buildings. I don't trick them or ask them to group up. I'm not friendly. I don't chat. I just shoot.

Zombies are unfun and unchallenging. I just run through the streets going from building to building losing them and grabing loot. The only challenging aspect of the game is PvP. Do I ever head north to the airfield or military tents for gear? Fuck no. Why would I? The lee enfield will kill any player with one shot at any range. And if it doesn't, they wont be getting up atleast.

Am I a COD Kiddie? Hell yeah. Honestly, who the fuck isn't? It's the best FPS to ever come out and that can't even be debated. I don't even understand how this can be considered an insult. I have to assume pretty much every person using this term has or is a COD Kiddie as well. And if your not? Stop playing this game and go play that. Right now. COD: World At War zombie mode set the bar for how a zombie mode/game is suppose to be, even if it was just a level marathon.

Am I here mostly to just brag about my never ending newb murder spree? Yeah, but not completely. I'm here to tell you this game NEEDS players like me. I'm the reason you feel your heart race every time you enter the electro market. I'm the reason you shut the doors when you enter the fire house. Players like me make the game scary. Not stupid zombies who have no sense of direction and can be lost by JUST running full speed through ANY building.

Adopt the shoot on site mentaility. Less than 20% of players are friendly. Probablly less. If you want to play russian roulette with 4 bullets in the chamber every time you see another player, be my fuckin guest. But don't come crying that everybody shoots you.

And to every person responding with a "This is a REALISTIC zombie similuator, you wouldn't shoot everybody on site in real life". Do you even hear yourselves? Tell me what game you would find fun where you have to eat, sleep and shit all the time. Where it takes you hours of real time to run from electro to cherno. Where you only get one life and then you have to buy a new game. Yeah, all of you would play that piece of shit, I'm sure.

You're contradictory post is making me curious. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me that the reason you purposefully chose to become a bandit was because of the lack of challenge, correct? If it's the thrill of seeking a real fight, a challenge, why would you stalk players on the coast as opposed to heading up north with the big boys? Wouldn't they provide the most difficulty for you? But now I'm wondering why I'm even responding since it seems like you're trolling. Saying there's no debate whether CoD is the best FPS ever is one of the silliest things I have ever heard.

Maybe I should have been more informative in my post. But I'm not the player who runs around with no kills in electro and cherno. 10+ murders every spawn is quite common. I would actually be surprised to find other players who could possibly get more kills per hour. I mean, it's only so many players on the map and I'm shooting most of them.

Also, why spend so much time running north when majority of "big boys" just come to the starting town to snipe noobs with weapons no better than the lee enfield I found in the market.

Happy to debate how CoD is the best fps ever. Not sure what even compares.....

having everyone adapt the shoot on sight mentality removes player dynamics and interaction. Also call of duty may be best for your tastes, however each person is different, I still think goldeneye is best due to how it appproached FPS gaming on consoles. However Goldeneye didn't really age well.

Ignoring the fact the OP is too newb to comprehend most of what he actually wrote, for COD to be considered the greatest FPS it would have to be a CRAP load better than it is. Currently MW3 has lost the majority of it's playerbase in less than half the time the players of Black Ops started to leave and the rot set in with MW2 and it's P2P bullshit. COD is just quake 3 mechanics with a different skin each time (quite literally as it's the id tech 3 engine still there underneath), hell even RAGE is id tech 5, but then that wasn't that great either. Battlefield has fallen into the same pattern as COD and played to the lowest common denominator, BF3 highlighting the issues with that style immensely. Beyond that HL2, Perfect Dark/Goldeneye, Crysis series, Far Cry series, etcetera are all available to have themselves ripped to shreds by criticism too. Unfortunately the greatest FPS ever is probably that mod that's still played over 12 years after release, yes that very tired and ultimately boring game called Counter-Strike. Personally I can't stand it due to the childishness of the design, however it is still easily the most popular FPS out there and still the highest paid in comps, despite being resoundingly beaten in sales by COD each year. Except with CS they just kept the game the same and released a patch instead of a new skin costing another $90 each year...

EDIT: BTW yes, COD is a shitty game. It's often released in a buggy state due to Activision's time limitations for development, it's always unbalanced initially (UMP in MW2, AK-74u in MW3, Python in Black Ops...) and more often than not it's designed to make the most money with the least effort. The engine hasn't been updated properly since the first CoD game. There are only minor changes to take advantage of new rendering techniques with newer gfx cards, but highlighting it's issues with map size especially when paired with P2P connections just makes COD kiddies go even further into denial. Ironically, I actually play MW3 (and Black Ops, and CoD 4 MW...) for an amateur league. So when I see scrubs posting crap like you, I laugh hard :lol:

So in the end there are currently no FPS's that got the formula close to perfect, especially when there is such diversity in FPS gamestyles. ArmA 2 is designed to be a sim, DayZ uses that to create a unique if very buggy experience. To be proud of being a COD kiddie and bringing that demographic to DayZ, just highlights your level of maturity and lack of understanding of the possible enjoyment to be had in other game styles.

Half-life 2 was absolutely amazing and hardly overrated. It expanded upon Half-life 1 in a way that every sequel should compliment the original. Although, yes, the first game was excellent in it's own right.

A'men, but I don't think he's serious but just trying to make a point. But it still doesn't mean the only challenge in this game (mod) should be PvP. Once a player is completely geared up, or not, they should not resort to deathmatching. Seeing as this is still an alpha there needs to be something added that makes the player want to do something other than loot and kill people.
