M4A1 or M16A2

What is better M4A1 or M16A2 for killing players.

They got the same damage and audible range but the M16A2 got an effective range of 400m and the M4A1 300m.. so the M16A2 is better at long ranges. Close range they are exactly the same

kinda depends, what distance are you going to be at? how much do you intend to move during the fight? will you be down in cover, or running from rock to rock, or tree to tree? and mostley, what do you like more? it realy is mostly personal preferance. i personaly use the M4 more, because its my movment gun. when im supporting others, im using my sniper, but if i was doing overwatch, i would prefer the M16 over the M4 any day. hope this helps?

I wouldn't say all. Tell me two situations.. one in which the G17 is better, and one in which the M9 is better ;D .. but.. off topic

BTT: As I said earlier close range their stats are the same, so it really only depends on your personal preference

BOTH, as you know how to shoot! lol!

The M16's have a longer barrel, so its got a little more range than the M4's, but I'm not sure that matters in "Vanilla" ArmA 2 / DayZ?

With ACE I think it actually matters though...? I could be wrong, but either way I still prefer the M4's lol!

M16 is burst while the M4A1 is fully auto so up close I would definately prefer the M4A1 and M16 from distance.
