Looting customizable skin question

When looting customizable skins is implemented into the game, will a player lose the skin upon death, or will it carry over?

I think it's going to either be inventory item or one time use kinda like you use food and so on, i think it'll be an inventory item and we'll be able to "interact" with it (Right click on it?) thus the new gear system that'll be added ;o so i guess it goes away upon death.

I just hope that they won't be rare as some guns are because clothing is everywhere.
