With ARMA on sale today, there's going to be a huge influx on new players. I know we've got the reputation lately of "devolving" into a PvP community, but remember that these new players will have zero ARMA experience and even inventory management will be something they'll have learn.

It's funny - I ran around for about six hours yesterday with my team (5 total) - we ran into 5-8 people total. Only about half of them were hostile (which we dealt with promptly). I don't think the community is as bad as people like to complain it is. I've become much more wary since I started (requiring new people to either drop their weapons or point them at the floor until I'm past), but I've seen quite a few players who are just longing for people to play safely with.
