FPS LAG PLEASE HELP

i have a lenovo y470 the specs are i3 dual core geforce gt550m 2.7gb 4gig ram windows 7 home pre. etc... and i run dayz very laggy sometimes even like a slideshow i change the atoc to 0 ppa level 0 and ppa to 0 i also used ram disk but cant seem to get this game to run well please can someone help i can run battlefield 3 on med 720p at 45fps so i dont know whats the prob thanks in advance

4 gigs isnt enough woo...... thats enough for most games but i thought ramdisk is suppost to help with that

4GB of RAM is plenty. Although if he doesn't have a 64-bit OS that could be the problem. I sincerely your not on of those "HURR MORE RAM = FASTER!!!!!!!" people, because that's how your rubbing off that statement

4GB of RAM is PLENTY! Hell, even 8GB is pushing the "you're never going to use that much ram you fucking idiot" line. Anyways, the problem is most likely your processor, maybe even your video card. Both of them are outdated.

wait i have a second gen i3 wich is 4 cores and the gpu is dx11 one question how do i make the game run all 4 cores because that maybe the problem i think. heres my specs on dxdiag it doesnt show the gpu but i think it sohws everything else - i have 64bit too

I had 4 gigs just recently and had really bad FPS. I upgraded to 12 gigs and Dayz runs like a charm.

I'd like to know as well :(

ive found out heres what you do you click options on the bottom left and set the hard drive to mod path then click install were it once said launch make sure theres no dayz in the foldier before u click install so that installing it will put dayz in the virtual hard drive by it self
