Disconnect conduct question

So, I was moving to the deer stand north of stary, coming out of novy. I see a crashed heli, and see zombies aggro towards a player, he proceeds to take them out and in an attempt to show i'm not hostile. I throw a smoke nade at the crash site, I than start taking fire from most likely the same player.

I manage to hide in novy and I wait about 5 mins in a building no longer taking fire. I decided to disconnect and get some food and chill a bit before getting back on.

However I don't know if I did the right thing and wait 5 mins before disconnecting.

i dont see it as a combat log, as far as i would be concerned he had 5 minutes to hunt you down, his fault for having bad aim..
