What patch SHOULD I be using?

Recommended Posts

I've been having issues after issues ever since a few days ago. I've heard the latest patch doesn't have backwards compatibility or is bugged, etc. So which one should I be using? I reinstalled and am now on 54, but when I try to join a server, I'll get into the game, but an error message will pop up straight away.

I always use the latest Arma 2 Beta patch and DayZ version that six updater has to offer me. You should probably do the same, since most servers also update to the latest version, which means you can join them without any problems.

Welp, downloaded that patch, still got the same error.

Okay, scratch that. I just realized 1.7.2.3 was a separate thing to download. Will I be able to play on the same servers as my friend, who has version 54? (the one I originally had)

go into your arma2 operation arrowhead, and delete your @dayz folder, then run six launcher. or you can download it through ftp or torrent, whichever you prefer.
