Repair Helicopter?

I just found a helicopter that needs to be repaired to work. I had a friend with me and we almost had everything needed to repair it, the only part missing was the engine. Now to the point: We can't seem to repair the main rotor, there's not an option to fix it. We have it in our INVENTORY, so it should work, also when we fix everything that can be fixed with scrap metal it doesn't look like it's repaired, it still looks like the broken helicopter.

Other problems: Can't get in to the driver seat, only the gunner seat.

Now, I don't know if the problem with the driver seat or the look of the helicopter when repairing it with scrap metal really is a problem here. But I do want to get one thing solved: Why can't I repair the main rotor?

Is it green with a dual-blade rotor system and one m240 on each side?

Or is it grey, with a quad-blade rotor system and GAU-17/A Miniguns?

Sounds like you might have found the latter version, which isn't repairable but rather the infamous "Loot Copter", which also doesn't actually have loot yet.

If you can only ride in the gunner seat, what you have found is a "crashed" helicopter. These are not real vehicles and cannot be repaired.

You need to find a green helicopter that looks like it is intact.

I wasn't even aware you could apply vehicle parts to these.

Look for the grey helicopters in the next patch, apparently the (fabled) uber loot won't despawn around them like it does now :P
