Question for Rocket RE cycles.

I know there is alot of people asking about compressed cycles and various other things, my question is simple.

Is it possible to run a reversed cycle? I know alot hinges on synchronisation with the master server, but Is it possible to do this?because you must admit that having eu players logging to US realms just to get daylight is a flawed concept?

this is one of the only things stopping me from applying to be a server host, I only play at nights.. but Id rather play in daylight ingame.

I don't understand why people wish to play during daylight. Do you know how dangerous daylight is? :P

Umm, you just set the clock on your server to a time zone that would be daylight and there you go.

as far as I know this messes with the server does it not? Im sure I read somewhere about a server being closed temporarily for messing with their time settings?

As I understand it, admins are allowed to change their timezones.

The whole snafu was with Admins who some how managed to freeze time to cause perma-daylight.

Reversed or just off cycle are fine as long as 24 hours on the server equals 24 hours in the real world. Rocket has confirmed this here http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4014&pid=41132#pid41132

aha thanks alot for that clarification!! good to know, I suppose my next question is an open one to server hosts.. why are there none doing this? (that I know of) as it would absolutely increase your servers popularity with its intended userbase at peak times!

Well when I asked my host to do this (only renting a server) I was told that;

"We can set time for server which is about -4 hours from europe. But we cant set up US times into the EU."

But since Rocket has outright said that it is fine, I think I need to have some more words with my provider!
