A soon to be newbie craving some tips before he plays.

Well, like the title says; I want some tips! I've been reading about the abundance of bandits and how annoyed people are with getting shot and how they don't manage to survive very long. I don't think that being killed a ton is such a big deal; you just respawn.I don't want to die a lot, however. I have been reading up on the game and tips for newbs, but most of them are very obvious. I know to get supplies and avoid Elektro and Cherno and other big cities, but I want some more in depth tips. Where should I run, what's the chance (I know it's low.) I'll find someone who won't blow my brains out, the rarity of cars, etc. I just want to be prepared before I start the mod. Avoid big towns, avoid other players, deer stands are your friend, figure out all the heli crash site spawns as soon as you can.

Barns, look for barns for weapons. try go north when you got the essentials to hit up the wilderness Matches - hatchet - hunting knife - water bottle. hit up every deer stand you find, look for heli crashes in open fields. Vehicles are rare, and when they spawn they most likely are damaged and needs repair, parts for vehicles are in factory categorized buildings.

Having a alert and aggressive mindset can be key to surviving the longest. The only real tip that i can give you - is sad as it is - you can't trust just anyone that you meet. Don't sprint in open areas - and be cautious of players more than zeds.

Go prone and roll for great justice. I'm not even kidding. It's so safe to earthworm your way to sweet Russian victory.

If you do have to go to a city, ready some binocs and scope out forest edges and rooftops first.

Go to big cities on the coast as soon as you start. It is better to die with nothing than die with good loot. While you are in the large cities, loot food, tools, food, and find a weapon. As soon as you have this, head north.

To get rid of zombies in cities: lead them into a building, and go around them or out the back door.

Grocery Stores are good for Maps,Bincoulars, Food, Watches, and a Compass I believe. Sometimes they'll have a rifle.
