Losing Items From Logging Out

Ignoring Tents, trucks/cars and dropping items. Items tend to dissapear or change to a completly diffrent item with no reasoning. My biggest annoyance is my stash of cooked meat going from 6+ too 1 or 2 almost everytime I log out with them in my backpack. I love free sapce but damnit I kinda like blood too.

Any tips aside from tents, veichels with the save function which I have had a lot less issues with by the way. I would be interested to hear any ideas.
