I want to live stream/record gameplay. Optimization ideas, and help please?

Recommended Posts

Manufacturer: LENOVO

Processor: AMD A8-3500M APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~1.5GHz

Memory: 4096MB RAM

Hard Drive: 702GB

Video card: AMD Radeon™ HD 6620g

Sound card: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120330-1504)

This is my rig was told by xfire, however, I seem to have problems livestreaming with live stream's procaster. It doesn't work ingame (specifically on Arma 2:OA/Dayz) and other games. It just doesn't show up, and when I minimize and turn on the stream, people say it's offline.

Are there any alternative live streaming programs besides procaster/xsplit? Unless someone knows how to fix this. Thanks in advance.

1.5GHz processor cores? That is most likely the reason for poor PC performance, because this game is CPU intensive. AMD processors don't tend to be very well optimised for games as well.

I cannot say if that is the reason, it might also be because of the beta patches and I personally cannot take screenshots, it just gives a black screen when I paste it into paint.

I like Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE) becauses it is free and it uses almost no resources. I can even run it as a batch file in a command window.

But xsplit should be easier to use and I think the basic version is free. Have you tried it yet?

Let me know if you need help with fmle I can give you pointers how to set it up.
