Tsyn 215 Posted July 21, 2012 Nooooooo!I was reading some things about DayZ, and I read that Rocket's goal is to turn DayZ into a stand-alone Free 2 Play game! That's disappointing, so I really hope that's not his aim, and that it was an awkward assumption from the writer...The thing that makes DayZ so great, is the fact that when you're banned, you're forced to buy another CD key to keep playing. That, in itsself, is an anti-cheat. Something that truely deters people from hacking on games like this, are that they're pay to play. Even if it isn't expensive to buy a CD key, it's still money wasted if you cheat. If the game becomes standalone Free 2 Play game, everyone will cheat. Doesn't matter if they're banned or not, they'll just get a kick out of greifing all of the players. The standalone part I'm completely fine with (although I'd hate to have to pay for DayZ again, seeing how I bought Arma 2 solely to play DayZ). Either way, I'd be more satisfied with that, than a free to play version of DayZ.Just sharing my opinion.
